The Story Behind

Golden Chips & The Three Bears grew from LUAP’s memories of family meals at Steels in Cleethorpes. Birthdays, Christmas celebrations, Friday treats and one of the final meals he shared there with his Grandad all became part of the story behind the work. The original painting transforms those memories of crowded tables, generous portions and time spent together into a celebration of working class family life, nostalgia and belonging. For this special release, LUAP is bringing the work back to the place and community that inspired it.
